Disheartened by the ongoing corruption and falseness in the political atmosphere, the careless use of chemicals leading to environmental degradation and human disease, and the widespread gun violence seen in our country, Shannon Lee decided to write a protest song about it. Once it was shared with her band Hullabaloo, they quickly began to develop the song as a band. It was later discovered that it would be a great fit for David Roof's MMR project.
